One of the worst places to work. Ive worked in the hudson valley north region for a little over a year and it has been the worst experience. Unless your bestfriends with the area leader or manager then you have no shot. The pay is one of the highest paying banks in the area but it is not worth your mental health. If you meet 100% of your goal its still not enough. You are not appreciated and you can see that you may get lucky and get a good branch maybe but with hudson valley north they care more about making you a glorified telemarketer then career advancement

Poor training. Staffing was horrible.
|
I was hired as a part time employee but ended up working full time hours without the benefits because of poor staffing. The turn around rate was high due to management and poor training. I had high expectations for this company and was constantly disappointed. Often times we could not take a lunch because there was not enough coverage & no one willing to help other branches out.

Very slow place to work
|
Low pay according to other banks, and hard to ask for PTO. you have to deal with rude customers sometimes and drama in your branch. You need to be able to work almost from always from Monday to Saturday, and for too late, hard to get the chance for a 2nd job.

Worked there a while ago, the pay and benefits were good. Culture and treatment from upper management could use some work. Most clients didn't like teller transactions at the desk and the incentive plan didn't make a lot of sense.

You will hardly be able to take a break. Glued to your chair for hours on end, taking endless phone calls. It gets repetitive. The amount of abuse you take from customers calling in is enough to not like the job. The benefits are amazing, which is a plus.

Different rules for different employees, nothing is the same over the board, they do offer good learning material, management is a joke, they have horrible management, and majority except a select few, hardest part of job is dealing with managers that know less than tellers and bankers, don’t follow their own rules. Most enjoyable part is definitely the clients and the relationship and bond with them.
