Loews Chicago International is a refundable deposit while Loews Miami is non refundable. The managers at hotels get to choose what discounts they allow, AARP, Veterans, etc. •In training they tell you not to learn one system but you end up needing it more out in the field than the one taught to you. •Your hands are tied as a travel planner, you are told you are an extension of the front desk but can only take reservations and notate and hope the hotel staff oblige the guest. Nothing is guaranteed. •Being a travel planner you get treated like trash by the front desk. If you call them to clarify something for a guest, its an annoyance for them and they will instantly put you back into que for reservations and you will get another travel planner on the line. •Every call is recorded and the managers have access to those recordings but will never utilize them to settle issues between guests who were told one thing but suddenly when they get the email for the reservation, its not what was promised. •There is no accountability but they constantly state that you should own the call and take care of your guest. •You will often get guests confused as one Travel Planner told them one thing, the website states differently, and now you have to look at notes from a previous call to see the Travel planner either lied or the sales team on the website used their special code to get better pricing. It makes the entire company look incompetent and wastes time.
