You can learn more games to get pay raises, and its pretty east to learn all the games if you take the time. I got through all but one in my first year. The hardest part is staying focused all day, but if you like to people watch or can sit on lots of different games than the day goes by quickly. As such, you're paid to hold up a stop sign at an intersection. Very easy work unless you're stuck with pompous shift leaders, but mentally draining when you realize your "work" is not really needed. I have been working with Innovate in various capacities for years, and I am impressed with the quality of my fellow team members. Leadership has managed to curate respected experts from the Big Four consulting firms, top tech firms, and major federal agencies that serve the public good. I have worked with our teams to further environmental protection, public healthcare, and disaster relief—a span of contributions that few boutique consulting firms can claim. I have been able to flow in my work as an independent consultant between Innovate and other clients—and have shifted to W-2 status when I was ready. I was even given the freedom to leave the company to pursue commercial opportunities—and then welcomed back a few years later to support federal work while focusing on my preferred areas of specialization. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to freely pursue the work that matters most to me, all while maintaining relationships with a remarkable team of professionals. Of course, it’s consulting, so the projects are going to have challenging parameters and personalities—but having the trust and support to take risks and discover creative solutions makes all the difference. Oh, and I will put it out there that the graphics on the website are less than stellar (at least, they were last I checked); don’t be fooled by the cheesy logo, because the client delivery is spot on. If you want to work here, get ready to figure out how to make progress happen without much handholding—but with freedom to pursue your own approach and with high-caliber experts on hand to offer input and guidance. Inc Office Assistant Washington, DC USA Working Remotely is the New Normal - Smaller Company, Big Game For a smaller company, it has a strategic view and continues to perform well through bad times and worse. As an Admin Worker, I miss the people side of the job that the quarantine has brought. I've been assigned other duties and stayed on full time working remotely. That says volumes about the company. It's a casual place to work in the right ways and also leans into work in the right ways. Small companies are underrated. We have company and client parties 3 times a year. We've had bring your kid to work Zoom calls and our Quarterly meetings are not stuffy. We have fun. I like the people who work here, No office politics when you work virtually., Always things to learn and take on. Inc Manager Remote USA Great to work for a "remote" company Innovate gives me a lot of flexibility with my work schedule, which has very been very useful during the "quarantine" months with two kids at home. It's somewhat challenging to get to know people given it's all remote, and the ones I've gotten to know I really appreciate. It seems like management is pretty transparent about the status of the company and accessible to people.
