High stress, Constantly micro managed, not enough training for the platforms/technology used, unrealistic deadlines, meetings after meetings, checklists after checklists, you’re constantly doing double work. Very low pay! Yes, you are working from home 8-5, but you have to work around the clock to get anything accomplished. High turnover among teachers. I would return to a brick and mortar setting in a heartbeat, even during Covid. All of the reviews are saying the same thing. They invest in a variety of platforms to ensure teachers have what we need to make the classroom come alive. The kids are wonderful. Great company in many ways There's a serious disconnect between administration & teachers. There are numerous steps to what should be simple, standard procedures and constant meetings to inform us of what needs to be done. Changes are made quickly and often with no consideration of the added burden as we attempt to implement. Once we incorporate the changes, the procedures change again so it often feels like we're always starting over. Most teachers end up extending our work days to nights & weekends. We simply aren't able to keep up w/the workload during our 8 - 5 workday. Salaries are also very low & teacher turnover is high. Listening to teachers would probably keep more staff from leaving. Flexibility, Benefits, Mentors & lead teachers want us to succeed. That's what it felt like. High demand for no pay. Must work from 5 am to 9pm to get some of their work complete and up to their forever changing standards. Go for it if working from home is your main priority and dont mind working around the clock sunday-sunday.
