Operator-Centric & committed to improving
Building a One Team Culture while Protecting What Matters. At the Plant level the company is getting stronger and is committed to Making Things Better. At the corporate level it seems leadership is willing and able to provide resources to the plant to help the plant team be effective in achieving good success. While it’s a work in progress, every event gives the team opportunity highlight successes, discuss challenges, and work through gaps to continuously improve.
One con is location. Being in Pryor unless you live in the area it’s anywhere from 30-min to an hour for some people to drive each day.

Coworkers are good to work with

Corporate is disconnected with our site. Safety is a joke. You'll smell chemicals everywhere you go that may or may not be safe for you. Somebody lost an arm at another site because of poor safety culture!

Very Poor Management Over Texas
Plant Management, customers, and prices are great
Middle/upper management over the state of Texas is terrible. No support and constantly making unsafe “bandaid” repairs. They lie to LSB reps from Oklahoma and put on shows for them when they come visit Texas plants. It is all smoke and mirrors. When I tried to help fix it I was told to find another job within 2 weeks or I would be let go.

Advice to LSB upper management, get rid of the 2-3 people over Texas because they are just yes men and put on a show to make LSB happy. It’s a joke and you never see or hear what really goes on as they hide it.

There is plenty of opportunity here, and you will get a broad range of experiences. Co-workers truly care. Pay and benefits are fair.

The company is attempting to shift from several individual sites to one team. There are just some growing pains.

Great people, doing great things!
I started with LSB in February and I am so glad to be here. There's plenty of interesting work to keep me busy – for those looking for the kind of job where you get paid to do nothing you should probably keep looking. Yes, expectations are high, but so are the rewards, and help is around every corner – all you have to do is ask.
Quick list of PROS:
1. Great group of senior leaders who are working diligently to make LSB the "best-in-class" organization we all know it can be.
2. The company is continually improving and I get to be a part of that – it's an exciting place to be!
3. Compensation and benefits are, at minimum, comparable to market, but are really above market in most cases.
4. I am trusted to do my job without being micromanaged, yet if I have a question, all I have to do is go to my supervisor and ask.
5. I know, without question, that the people here have my back – and I have theirs. That's a great feeling!
Sometimes the work feels overwhelming – but that's going to be the case in any situation where you're going to truly make a difference.

Do not Work for this Company
Good Benefits, 2 weeks of PTO starting out, great people you work with. Company Truck, Cell Phone, and Laptop. Family Atmosphere. Good Customers. Plant Managers and down are great folks.
Pay is not where it should be. Always running out of product to sell, terrible middle management, laying folks off after having one of the best years on record. Closed 3 Plants after a year of record profits. Abusive managers and bullies. Lots of gaslighting. Always short-staffed, management likes to lie. Unsafe working conditions. Lack of communication. Managers walk all over their employees, old junk equipment. allowing managements friends to be the only contractors who do terrible work and charge a ton of money. No real raises or big bonuses for the workers who work hard. Promote those who do not deserve it. Gave the same bonus as the previous year to everyone after a year of record profits. Racist managers use words such as colored and the N-Word. Lots of Nepotism. Most Trucks and trailers cannot pass DOT inspection. Very little Training or Professional Development. Overwork Employees and underpay them. Managers are manipulative.

Fire the middle managers and get folks who know how to run a business. Give the Plant Managers and Salesmen raises and bigger bonuses, get new equipment, communicate. Listen to your employees. Hire some help. If you want to be Best in Class you need to clean house and put in folks who will make it Best in Class. Properly Supply the plants with products to sell.

Horrible place to work
There are no pros to working at LSB- just look elsewhere and don’t waste your time. Unless you are a Mormon they won’t talk to you and will walk right by without even saying hello. Also the CFO is a real piece of work- worked there almost a month before I finally had to introduce myself to her, I guess she thinks she is too good to talk to her new employees, that’s sure not a great first impression Cheryl.
Hostile work environment in the corporate office- I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome in all my years of working. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

You need to really look at your current workforce and turnover- it’s obvious that there are key players at LSB who have NO business being in their positions and it’s not very professional when you call these 2 women your “work mommas” who does that?
