Overall a stressful work environment, not too hard, great first job.

Most managers are nice and understanding, sometimes bad scheduling though. Very stressful work environment with how busy it gets. Opportunities to learn and grow though and get some experience of different things while working there. Overall great first job.

Free movies, with one friend as well, $1 pass for a movie for every 12 hours you work, Also private screenings sometimes the night before

Short breaks, can schedule you outside of your availability during holiday breaks from school, Makes you work very late when closing

Flexible but stressful and tough
|
The Marcus Corporation theaters are great places, but the work there will make sure you earn your paycheck. Management is alright but, often, not enough people are scheduled. There is a significant turnover rate and the workforce is very young, so there is is a lot of immaturity that gets in the way of work.
The hardest part of the job are Saturdays. Most Saturdays there are a significant number of people who call in and they are almost always understaffed on Saturdays. However, those that call in are not replaced in any permanent manner.
The most enjoyable part of the job is bartending or running the box office as those have decent pay and longer downtime. Bartending is also paid more and makes quite a few more tips than runners and, many times, the servers as well.

Good job for younger people but isn't enough.

The people here are great, employees and guests. They are very flexible, very understanding, and they really care. My problem is that the pay isn't enough to live by myself and still be able to have things I want. Also doesn't feel like im going to advance or learn any new skills after this amount of time being there.

Its a good place to work if you like working with and around other people. Depending on your position it can be more laid back or not. Very flexible, you can choose your hours and availability without much issue. On Top of all that, its just a fun place to work, being surrounded by the latest movies and what not.

Very little room for advancement and little to no ability to work remotely. Benefits were not competitive and pay scale is low considering the volume of work.
