Good employee perks with mediocore pay
VERY repetitious work. If you like taking insurance claims for 8 hours a day and doing the same thing then, it's for you. Highly concentrated on customer service but a little too much. Expected a huge amount of empathy to where it sounded fake. Also favoritism which is in a lot places.

Favoritism, some supervisors were full of themselves, especially mine.

Great Starter Job! Genuine Review.
I was a Support Specialist at Mercury for just about four years. In my time at the company I must say I genuinely enjoyed it. I absolutely loved my management team. They were kind, and they always encouraged me. They were always patient with me as well - sometimes I feel like I didn't even deserve there patience. Its a great work environment! I worked in the Underwriting Department so it was quiet most of the time and I was always able to focus on my work. Coworkers were kind and embraced me as well. I started with zero work experience and I know there was a lot of trial and error. I've had a few jobs prior to this one and every management team I had was nothing compared to this one. They embraced my personality, and they always encouraged me to be the best version of myself. I chose to leave for a few reasons - a few for personal reasons as well as the pay. Unfortunately (at least in my department) there wasn't very much room for promotions, as well as I was getting underpaid while they were adding more responsibilities on my plate. I stayed for so long because I grew to love my management team/coworkers. If you or anyone you know wonders if this job is worth it - I would say definitely. My experience was fantastic and I was truly blessed to have been able to be apart of the Underwriting Department.

There’s better out there
You get a lot of claims and no OT ever. If you are behind they do not care and would like to stay to catch up they will not allow you too. I stood 45 min OT in a week and I got in trouble. Plus the pay is unfair with the amount of work you get. Look elsewhere.

Dont do it!
Terrible, negative environment. I wouldn't waste your time with this place. Unmanageable workloads and weak management that's uninterested in helping.

Good work environment not enough pay
Overall mercury is great company to work for; the salaries are just not enough for the work we do as adjusters; $15 an hour is not enough to be treated poorly by customers

Good work schedule and hours, bonus, good overall work ethics
The company overall is good. Old managers and supervisors have the mentality of decades ago meaning you should work work and work, you should be grateful you have a job and your manager is someone you should have deep respect for and don't ask questions. Mulitiple complaints about managers/supervisors get you no where. The longer they have been there the less anything will be done about their unprofessional attitude.
Hours, pay, bonus, holiday lunch, casual environment
Long time managers/supervisors tend to get away with unprofessional attitude, change is not for them.

Mercury cares about their employees. Bottom line.
I have been with Mercury 2 years now and plan to continue my Insurance career here. It started out rough as far as expectations, but after the job became more familiar it was a breeze to adjust. The pay and training can use some improvement but this is a GREAT company to work for.

Challenging and interesting work but in my case short in the area of work/life balance.
Mercury has made huge strides in the area of employee engagement and over all culture. Internal surveys of team members show most everyone really likes working there.

Continuous feedback model rather than formal performance reviews

Company has a variety of offices
Most managers only look out for themselves. The pay is lower than a non standard company. No room for growth after being there for a time. The managers don’t stick up for their individuals who are under them.
