Medtronic neurovascular was a fun place to work at. The people were nice and the job was easy. The only downside is you are not able to move up in positions despite all your credentials.

Problems with management
|
They don’t promote people, they will always hire someone outside to fill in management positions and won’t train them so you end up with management that gives harsh deadlines, doesn’t understand the processes you are working on and has no interest in working with you to advance your career. Get some experience here if you need it then leave for better pay and treatment elsewhere

Company does not care about their employees. People who have stayed at the company for 20+ years have been let go when their department shuts down instead of being put somewhere else. Forced to use PTO when the company decides to have shut down days. Sick time and pto are in one. Strict rules to follow and easily penalize and potentially terminated. Little room to grow

The job and the people were enjoyable but there is no job security, you’ll be hired on a temporary contract and will be let go at any time if production demand drops or if you’re sick more than twice they will fire you even if you have genuine sick certs. Myself and 15 other people were fired 3 weeks before Christmas as production demand had dropped and we had all been out sick more than once so they used that as the excuse.

Don’t work in Assembly.
|
One of the worst jobs I had. Supervisor and manager were constantly pushing me and others to work overtime. If you didn’t sign up for overtime, the supervisor or manager would sometimes talk with you and ask you why you couldn’t work overtime on the weekend. It was always an uncomfortable conversation to have because they had no hesitation to ask you about your personal business. All management cares about is numbers and so they will push you and everyone else in the Assembly line to work as fast and hard as you can. There were multiple times where we were made to work past our fifth hour, and take a late lunch. When that happened there were times where management printed out missing time punch forms to fill out. They didn’t want us using the time punch computer when we would pass our fifth hour. Seems like some sketchy stuff was going on there. Do not work assembly unless you have absolutely no life and are willing to work 60+ hours a week. Management needs some training and it is a stressful place to work.
