Regional Collection Manager La Porte, TX USA Mistres pros and cons Good part about working at Mistres was the fact that they know family is important, as long as you got your work done and made deadlines they were understanding. Bad part was the pay and constant fear of being laid off or let go. Before I was laid off it had been 6 yrs since my last raise. It also felt like it was a good ole boy environment, as a female you were never going to be any importance unless you were married to one of the boys. NDT Technician Louisville, KY USA Overall is a good place to work for depending on how much work is available. Financially it was a good fit for me as far as receiving living assistance while working a contract job. The job was stressful at times dealing with a lot of repairs. The client decided to hire a guy who owned a NDT company that went out of business to stop or slow down the repairs rate. The ideal didn’t help because repairs was still happening and by hiring a competitor employee who ran a NDT company just made the workers a target and there was nothing to do about it. If he and management had done something about the multpule complaints I probably would have never left.
