If you have any kind of ISSUE, DO NOT go to HR. The open door policy is B.S. it will put a huge target on your back. No matter how valuable you are. Favoritism is a huge problem also. The performance reviews are a huge lie!! HR is a joke. LW Assembly is the worst department l!

Fire Jamison Linden or sell the company to someone that knows how to run a manufacturing business (Japan). The trucks are junk! It’s obvious that no one in charge has any clue what their doing when we’ve had more than a year to get parts for these trucks and we’re stealing parts from other trucks just to finish one. Pay is considerably low compared to industry and work life balance is non existent since the son took over the company. Sell sell sell so we can get decent pay, benefits and can produce top quality trucks.

the pay is good, benefits are pretty good. the people I work with are nice.
|
upper management is a absolutely awful. the plant manager who does not have experience doing the physical jobs that get these trucks built thinks he knows how to make these roles more efficient. instead of listening to hourly management and employees on how to improve process so that he can meet the promise he's made to his bosses. expectations set are unreasonable to meet, and when the quota isn't met because it's been set too high, you will be forced to work 12 hours shifts 4 days/week and add an additional 5th shift for the week at 10hrs for the day. this has happened on multiple occasions, but after increasing our daily quota, the plant manager will also change process in such a way that it is impossible to meet the goal that was just increased. not to mention, my department needed more people even before the updated standards. new folks (rare because they refuse to hire) can smell the BS immediately and do not stick around. HR says their turn over rate is due to attendance, but it's actually because people do not care to give them a two weeks notice. they don't even care if you're lazy when you're here, they just want your warm, alive body here on time. if I had the schedule to accommodate it, I'd be the laziest person here, riding out my over time and career just collecting that money. in summary, I would not recommend working here unless you are deseparate for money and don't plan on staying. do not make a career here. I was hired in october and I have already seen five managers leave without giving a notice, and I believe I've seen five regular employees like me up and quit without notice as well because it's so bad here.

listen to your employees when you're looking for ways to improve process and make it more efficient. do more than pretend to care about your employees' work life balance by hiring enough people to complete the work you wish to see done. don't squeeze the few people you have dry just to save a buck on pay roll. I'm going to say it one more time for the folks in the back: LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES AND LOWER MANAGEMENT FOR SUGGESTIONS ON MAKING PROCESSES MORE EFFICIENT.

Management/directors doesn’t care about your down time. Take total advantage of salary employees and make them work unpaid overtime all the time. HR is no help as they never take employees side. Under appreciated isn’t even the word!
