Very demanding work, so many things have to be entered into their system. Every single item is inventoried and monitored like it was gold. If 1 or 2 items are unaccounted for and can't be found. They will fire you.

The team is friendly, helpful and fun to work with. Pay is ok. This Company has a great opportunity for growth.

The training is rough because its a hands on training with no learning opportunity's online for the cashier to better themself while away from the work-site. The current box I work in is cramped no room for two and hard to see pumps and customers as they get gas. Just makes you feel unsafe, and insecure about the day and customer runoffs I may experience. The training isn't the best they can do! I feel it lacks for the newby's and the probability of the new hire to learn properly, thus having a big turn-over of new hires and wasted time training for the Full-time employees.

I trained many employees in the past and as a newby being trained by Murphy USA I recommend consecutive, consistent, back to back days on the clock to allow the information learned to stick! (Don't train for a day and give a day two or three off before scheduling them to work. More likely to fail remembering everything crammed in the few days you have to teach them.) Some-days training you never experience the needed to know information that is probable in experiencing with consistent day to day experience. And personally I think that if possible to train in a full functional store like Paris, Tn then when needed in the small stores (Box Murphy's) the new employee will have the best full experience thus more confident and a win win for the whole team!
