Your career dies here.
Hardworking team members, lots of opportunity (because everything is broken).
No strategy, the only innovation is finding new ways to charge customers, continuous layoffs, leadership changes every other month, no common goal or direction.

Turmoil is Rampant
Compensation seems decent. There are some good employees left.
Since the private equity acquisition, things have been chaotic and unnerving. Management layer seems to be going off the rails without guidance. Maturity level of company processes and procedures leaves a ton to be desired.

Poor lower level management has a direct impact on ICs staying or going. Don’t just assume everything is as rosy as the managers might make it out to be. Use data.

Management is driving out talented people
Some of the best and brightest people work here. Very high caliber engineers and programmers. Good benefits and the work is cutting-edge. A lot of out-of-the-box thinking and solutions. You will learn a lot working here.
There has been a significant amount of changes in management, even before the company went private, and this trend is expected to continue, which is normal for any organization. However, New Relic is still grappling with appropriate priority setting and attempts too many initiatives simultaneously, which makes it incredibly challenging to complete anything. Additionally, if anyone is even slightly critical or speaks up, it puts a target on them, and they are considered a threat. The VPs and directors micromanage their employees and are not adept at managing people, which is leading to the departure of good talent. Expect layoffs every year and sometimes twice a year.

Get better at people management, there's a real problem here. Moral is at its lowest point ever and seems to keep getting worse. Treat people with a modicum of respect and you won't see talented folks leaving in multiples.

Moral is at an all time low. Good job if you can keep it and escape the toxicity of I don’t give a damn about my people.

Will not last
remote work, solid benefits and health insurance,
4-5 rounds of layoffs in last 3 years. Executive management is running company into the ground. constant changes to pricing model is driving customers to competitors. Execs cancelled all in person events so there is no longer any cohesion and company culture. support is a mess and the product team cant perfect anything before moving on to something new and half baked. I do not see New Relic lasting another 2 years
