Stable job in a stable company Reasonable benefits and pay 1st place I've heard, in a non-joking fashion, "We do it this way because that's how we've always done it." I also now understand the saying, "missed the forest for the trees." Company focused on what is right in front of them and no vision of the surroundings and future. Approach it as a necessity, not something to be feared, or embraced. It is just something that has to happen. Allow employees the chance to try, and perhaps fail, but also succeed. By people trying, growth will happen. That corny quote of, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." is something to consider. Update systems and process to entice new hires. Getting rid of most of the wood paneled walls, in 2015, helped, but it is more than what is on the walls. Most employees seem afraid of the CEO. Not a whole lot of companies maintain success through fear-based management.
