Good Culture and Nice People
People were very welcoming and my mentors were willing to help me out. Project given to me was interesting and the day to day work was interesting as well.
Living in Williston, ND can be quite an adjustment coming from living in a big city most of my life.

Great Culture and Experience

Great culture from the top, learned a lot as a mid-career professional.
Lots of changes, no longer the same company. Interested to see what happens after the Whiting merger.

Not what it used to be
Very little, 9/80 work schedule is a benefit.
Oasis used to be a great place to work and they used to say that the employees were their greatest asset. That is no longer the case. 3 years without pay raises only to be slapped in the face when they finally do give merit increases. The increased workload across the company and employee morale at an all time low. Expect a massive outflow of employees once they pay the partial bonuses. There is no option to work remotely even though we did it successfully for a year. Management is only concerned with their and the shareholders returns.

Downward trend
Nice benefits: 401k (6% match and vest on day one), health/dental/vision insurance, sick day (carry over 40), PTO (carry over 40). Bonus and long-term incentive plan. Good team members. 9/80 schedule. Free downtown parking or bus pass.
PTO changed to accrual now. Lack of raises and promotions in 2 years. Lack of hybrid schedule. Office moral is low after bankruptcy and people leaving (like every week) creating more stress. 2 layoff < 1 year and 4 in 3 years. Sold Midland asset and midstream business. Change is slow, politic everywhere, little too micromanaging. People are transfer into position without experience and have no clue what they're doing (sink and swim). Same people get promoted. Culture went out the window after founder left. Only hope and promises. Just more work and same pay.
