Fair pay, room for advancement

There were many changes during my time at OneBeacon. I was very fortunate to keep my job with them through mergers and a few layoffs. I left for a higher-paying company, but was always treated fairly by my supervisors and had a good rapport with my co-workers. Felt a sense of job security for much of my career there.

I have worked at OneBeacon for six years and have always received outstanding reviews. I have always looked for ways to help and grow within the company and have hit a wall. OneBeacon has little opportunities to grow here in the Canton office. I am looking to find a company with new opportunities.

Just a meh job

Not really much to say about the job. Small office. Management is very stuck in their ways. Management does not have a lot of life commitments outside of the job, so they are not very understanding when things come up in your personal life. Company policy clearly states 3 paid days for bereavement, yet when I had a covered family member pass away I was questioned if I needed to take all three data offf

A culture shock. Extremely micromanaged. Poor on-boarding process. Extreme Lack of Diversity. During my tenure it was nothing unordinary to hear insensitive remarks towards minorities who I also heard referred to as "Colored People".
It seems this company did not hire anyone since the 70's. The atmosphere desperately needs diversity training. Daily unconscious bias. Felt like I time traveled to when segregation was first lifted.
No minorities in managerial positions, no minorities in senior roles, none in the building. It's time to grow as people, this place is stuck in the 50's. Wouldn't recommend!
