Pay is good for a midstream company and it is stable What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The constant change of positions and titles to include your assigned work location without notice to you. Nor are you asked. Just because you applied for a certain position/job does not mean that’s what you will be doing in a year or more in the future What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It depends if you work in the field or if you work in the office. The culture is a good ole boy network do as you are asked. Don’t think for yourself and don’t try to do more. No opportunity for advancement unless you’re in the good ole boy network and are secretly promoted. Leadership job openings are rarely available to apply for. They are hand picked by management What is a typical day like for you at the company? 9 hours of stress not knowing if you are going to get a phone call from manager to start working at a different location that you did not apply for to work at. This causes to disrupt the culture. Overall good place to work. Pay is unknown, slow progression. Overall people are good at Pasadena location. ONEOK HR used to be a supportive and welcoming place, where employees trusted that their peers and leaders would do the right thing. That all changed with the exit of the prior HR Executive VP. The new CHRO's management style is inept at best and vindictive at worst. HR staff members that aren't being laid off are jumping to other departments in ONEOK or leaving all together. Advice? Go elsewhere. ONEOK HR is not a good environment anymore. HR lags behind its market peers, both in delivering HR services to its employees and in overall pay. Hybrid work schedule and 100% work from home for some. Below market pay. Poor management in HR. Rigorous hiring process that is generally slow, so be patient. Low turnover rate. Good compensation and benefits.
