Better than nothing I guess

It’s good pay for the area. Other than that, not much else is great. I enjoyed some of my coworkers but the people who run that facility do not care about their employees in the slightest. You would think that working around poisonous metals or explosives would bring some sort of hazard pay, especially since people have literally gotten blown up at work, but no. No hazard pay because “there’s not more accidents in those departments compared to the rest of the facility”. Also the hours are garbage. It takes forever to get on a decent shift and you’ll eventually be working mandatory Saturdays. It’s better than nothing, but if you find someone who works there and says they love it, then you’re probably talking to someone who sits in an office and gets paid more than the ones actually working.

Company is a capitalistic joke. They over work you in barely sustainable conditions. All tools and machines are old and barely run effectively. They use cheap tooling and blame you when you have to constantly work on stuff

Fun workplace from what I’ve heard overtime can be a headache. Management can be stressful at times . Rotating shifts was a must so you should be ready to do that

Numbers seem to be the main priority. Lots of overtime. Low morale. Inconsistent practices with discipline and promotions. Pay due to CBA doesn’t adjust to compensate for rising insurance and economic costs.

Enjoyable work, awful management
|
Work is pretty easy, and can be really fun. Management is dysfunctional even if you get lucky and have a good manager, upper management only cares about production numbers. You are expected to stay in your lane and they will hire externally before promoting or transferring from within. Good amount of time off but below industry standard pay.

It was pretty hard work didn’t give it a chance to get use to it. I would say it’s a good job if you’re starting out with a lot of energy. It’s not for everybody.
