Great place to work, great coworkers, great clients
Great place to work, not too political or intense a work environment, and people facing and the customers were awesome too and of course the coworkers.
The overall business model was a little liquid but that didn’t come from the branch itself.

Great PTO Terrible Career Growth Opportunities
This, like any company, is dependent on your department or group, but I love the team I'm on and have great respect for my manager.
Excellent amount of PTO, well above industry standard.
Beyond the above, though, there's increasingly very little to enjoy about the actual day to day job. Continually changing expectations or piling on more work with no additional incentive. Oh, but hey, you can get paid more by working more OT & Saturdays.
Monetary incentive is simply not there to keep top talent. There's next to no advancement or career opportunities, not just in my department - which is a very limited, linear and singular path for advanvement - but within the company as a whole.
Especially now, as I have it on good authority that OMF has put a "freeze" on any job opportunity if you don't live near where a particular team is out of.
The simple explanation for that is OneMain is not a remote-first company. Not a bad thing in and of itself; this is plenty common in the corporate world. But this just means you're SOL if you want to stay with the company (my first preference) but don't live in an area where other departments have offices in.
There are several departments I'd like to look into more but alas, that's not an option so I'm left very short list of career decisions to make.

Open up hiring across the entire company, open up your remote policies; or, even if that means a hybrid schedule in a local office that isn't used by that role's department.

Upper management needs to listen more to their employees concerns. Anytime there are concerns brought up such as understaffing, sales goals or even why changes were made we get the third degree. Employees concerns are not heard! They only time you are listened to is if upper management likes you. If they don’t they don’t then they look for ways to get rid of you. I had this experience because my district manager that had only been in the position 2 months placed me on a performance review for three months. In that three months my branch rocked it out and was exceeding monthly goals. At the end of the three months he decided to extend the review three more months. This was unnecessary considering there were other branches in the district that had been performing worse than my branch from the start. My branch continued to exceed expectations and finally was removed from the review. However, the district manager continued to single out my myself on everything he could. Never any praise for the awesome job we were doing. Forget talking to the area manager or Human Resources regarding any issues because it will get you no where! After 12 years of busting my butt for the company I was terminated due to accidentally marking that I left a second message on a customers phone. Yes I had infraction on this before but it was because an employee has called earlier in the day and didn’t disposition the call and when I called I didn’t get an alert that a message had been left. A few hours later the employee went back and marked he left a message. It logged his disposition at the time the call was made not the time he dispositioned it making the infraction on me. So when I accidentally hit the wrong button to disputing the call the next time I received another infraction and it took over a week for my district manager to pull me in the office and terminate me. There was no meeting to explain what happened, no employee review as stated per policy was conducted. I never even got to state my case and show that I was performing above goals in order to keep my job. I figured this would happen since the district manager did not like me. So I recommend that before anyone works there to be prepared to not be heard, treated poorly if management doesn’t like you and to be pressured and stressed out due to unrealistic workloads. This place went down hill when they merged with springleaf and it’s only going to get worse.
