Work life balance. More time off than I have ever had with any other employer. They’re very versatile on schedule changes for doctors appointments and life needs.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very high goals and even if you hit the goal but don’t hit the separate delinquencies goals you don’t get the money you earned on loan goals.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and inclusive. You can be who you are and be accepted.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical 9-5 office work with a lot of phone calls to and from customers and potential customers.

I started this job very optimistically. It turned out to be a total drag on my mental health. I was hired as a loan specialist, and that’s the furthest from what I actually do. What I really am is a glorified collections specialist. You spend 90% of your day calling people who are one day late 3-4 times a day. You get monthly sales goals of over $100k and you still end up with zero commission when you hit your sales goals. The reason they say is because their delinquencies are high. I mean that happens when the average interest rate is 25%-30% no matter their credit score. So you’re punished for their bad loans you can’t deny. Not to mention all of the “optional” products they force you to sell to customers. Things that don’t even make sense. Like road side assistance and medical benefits. Like why? Then you get belittled when you don’t sell the OPTIONAL products. So Imagine earning someone over $100k dollars, calling hundreds of people a day, and getting $0 in return. I feel bad everyday I have to come in here and take people out of one bad situation and into another one with OneMain Financial. My boss and coworkers are chill but it ends there. There’s quite literally nothing to look forward to other than high sales and collections pressure daily. There's one more thing! You can expect to work late nights and multiple Saturdays because of delinquent accounts. Something they tell you rarely happens, but is quite consistent.

It’s and okay place to work lots of great perks monthly bonuses on if u hit target… if u don’t it target or force the insurance on the loan then that when ur problem starts can’t help if people don’t want a loan of the insurance

I loved working for OMF! The company is amazing. They offer a generous amount of PTO. Great work life balance. Only problem was my Manager was a huge micro manager and that was very stressful
