Worked at PREIT for longer than 10 years. Close, personal bonds among employees as many have worked there for years. I learned a lot about the real estate industry. Place used to be close knit and family friendly until most recent changes in executive management. Now, company is top heavy to a fault. Boys club where cronyism and nepotism reign supreme. Lesser pay for women and minorities. Toxic managers permitted to wreak havoc in key departments. New people and ideas sorely needed across departments from director level to CEO. Better yet, just sell the place. Key player in the industry, so decent exposure for freshers. Honestly I enjoyed my job and loved the people I worked with. Leaving them was really hard, but it was a difficult business decision that my boss had to make and I completely understood. I worked in the Marketing department so there was always something exciting going on. Even when it got insane everyone pulled together and worked as a team to make things happen and often that brought about the best results.
