- lack of formal training - pay not competitive - upper management forced 4 days in office without evidence that work output increased - management does not care about what is best for the well-being of employees.

“Pzena is not for everyone” was a common phrase I heard during my first year. It was seemingly used as a scare tactic, and when I asked what they meant by that, they laid out so many red flags, I should have walked out that day. I hope people considering a job at Pzena will focus on the less “glowing” reviews on Glassdoor, as I believe they encourage current employees to increase their ratings on here. Unless you’re coming in at the top of the food chain, expect fake people, toxic work environments (depending on the team), and terrible pay. Advice to management? Fix your culture or risk the fact that the truth will come out and continue to deter talented people. Don’t rely on your lifers.

Good Company, Decision Makers Don't Always Read the Room Correctly

Very supportive management team with a good structure on training new hires to get you caught up to speed while developing an understanding of what's going on at the same time.
Smaller company so you have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and be involved in different projects and tasks further expanding ones knowledge base.
Department management will do what they can to make their employees happy, but they only have so much say in terms of salary and growth.
Decent benefits package, low cost insurance is a plus.

Executive committee is their own worst enemy. Supportive executives who are approachable, but they are fixated on implementing policies they view are right vs what employees actually want. Implementing a new 4 day in-office policy when employees were hoping to stay at 2-3 days in the office based on in-house employee surveys shows their inability to keep their finger on the pulse of what employees want and do what they think is best.
Retirement contribution on the lower side of the spectrum.
Not a lot of organic growth opportunities unless other employees leave.

Poor management/leadership. Very poor HR. Majority of staff are fake. When a coworker asks you, "How are you... how was your weekend?" Reply, "Good" and then keep it moving. They don't actually care or want an honest answer. If you actually share a thoughtful answer that is honest, people look at you weird. When I tried to stand up for a coworker by asking to be delegated some of their work so that they aren't spread so thin, my manager told me, "Let's not speak for others and give them an opportunity to come to their manager on their own." Then I was shortly let go... The work culture at Pzena isn't what it is presented to be. Stay a few months and you'll see. HR is very quick and comfortable with letting people go for stepping out of their bound.
