IT supports both Operation and Development activities and is structured around a Product Framework. Products are identified within IT and assigned to Product Owners and given Product Sponsors. A DevOps framework is used for Operations and an Agile/Scrum framework is used for Development. Scrum and DevOps Teams are formed to support each product and are led by Product Team Managers (combination PM/Scrum Master). All IT work is time-boxed and iterative. This has created significant frustration for traditional IT resources who are generally supporting more linear infrastructure projects that don't lend themselves to iterative work. Because RPC supports over 70 US field locations, much of the IT staff work remotely several days per week and travel is common. MS Teams is the collaboration tool in use and MS DevOps is the Operations and Development platform.
Most of the IT senior management are located in the Atlanta corporate office. All other branches (such as the Houston office - actually in the Woodlands) are treated as red-headed stepchildren.

Overall a good solid company
|
In my opinion, the company as a whole is one of the best service companies in the patch today. It’s owned and operated by RPC who has done an excellent job. At the local level they have a nice facility, the office staff is excellent, & they have some good people in the field. It’s the same as it is with anything else though, there’s both good and bad.

Company pays well but make no mistake you will be required to be gone alot. If you have a family it will be hard at times. But the company takes very good care of its employees great experience cant wait to go back when oil comes back up

Excellant Pay, volatiliaty of oilfield

Amount of work dependent on assignments made. Volatility of oilfield makes work unpredictable. Was allowed to do your job and had technical support if needed. Lots of travel as work can be anywhere. Job assignment did not seem to be handed out equally.

Thru Tubing Solutions was a very good company to work for. The only down side was the lack of home time. Due to not having a days off schedule. The Benefits out weight the negatives.
