Too many managers without experience on the actual manufacturing floor. Too many managers in general. The pay was decent for certain positions, but the room to grow is very slim. Favoritism plays a big role in how far you can climb the ladder, and often times management is hired off the street rather than promoted from within. There's alot of us vs them mentality between operators/mechanics/management instead of a more team oriented vibe. The PTO plan alright and most supervisors will work with you to approve your requested days. The scare of shutdown is always looming as the company is in financial despair. A good amount of paid holidays, and the insurance benefits are nice. Very low raises yearly though. I enjoyed my time at Revlon. I worked very well with my direct manager. CEO and executive team changed frequently which caused concern for longevity of the Edison R&D site. The budgets have been cut so much that they are really a joke. If we actually get money for in store support, we don't know enough ahead of time to plan events or secure the artist to work. Since Revlon took over, the bonuses for Executives have disappeared. Even if you work your butt off to make your goals, you will not get a bonus because the company didn't hit their stock goal. It's ridiculous and really no incentive to try harder. There is really no job security with yearly lay offs. Other luxury cosmetic companies kept their Executives on full salary during Covid-19 store closures, but Revlon/Elizabeth Arden furloughed theirs without pay and when they were brought back to work 3 months later, they reduced our pay and cut work week hours. I know times are tough in retail cosmetic beauty industry now with Covid, but this company couldn't handle normal day to day business let alone a pandemic. Not a financially viable company to work and your salary doesn't cover all the "not your job" things that are thrust upon you because of company and store budget cuts. Benefits are good. Company car and all expenses related to it paid. You won't get your bonus even if you make your goals. Loved working for this company but lost it competitive edge somewhere... maybe cost to much to do business. Used to be innovative but not anymore. Reckon still has a brand but not as much as before. They let the brand just lie there. Hope it gets its edge back. And hope they have more women in management. Temp agencies are not told this information! Revlon does what they want to do! Started as a temp for a Data Entry Clerk worked at that for over 2 years was told to train a full time employee to be my back up then my job was given to that person and I was sent to work in another department doing production working in pick by light. Not what I was hired for! So not happy at all! I'm over qualified for this! Then told to train new Temps then they were given my spot! now!wherelreally belong! None!
