My typical day started at 5:20 when they wanted to do a morning meeting, but they wouldn’t let you clock in until 5:30, but still expected you to be there at 5:20. Anyways after that, you’d be sent off to your production line where you’d probably do a lot of repetitive things, drill holes, clean each section of the truck, add cables/lines, tie up the cables/lines, apply padding where needed, then you’d move to the next one in line and so on.. rinse and repeat, I left not too long after I started. Just wasn’t a good fit with the repetitive work, low pay and the pressure of being there early to not get paid until you clock in. People there were ok, management was clueless who you were. Overtime isn’t bad and Saturdays are usually optional with some mandatory on occasions. Nothing really bad to say here. Definitely recommend checking this company. Internally this company has major culture issues. This is not a "safe place" to share honest feedback, you will be seen as a problem and removed. Finger pointing happens all too often from the "alpha male" leadership looking to CYA themselves. The employee turnover rate is always extremely high, overwork, poor communication, poor planning, mandatory overtime are all common and play into this lack of employee retention. You hear that people matter but at the end of each month you are reminded that you have to make numbers at any cost, including pushing employees to leave from overwork. Listen to the high number of low reviews and just say "NO" to working here unless you have to have a job while you find a better company to work for. I never once sat on and type of forklifts, or did any training in the warehouse. This happened to 3 other co workers they started same day as me. I brought this up to a supervisor, and they pushed me off to another supervisor. This company does not care about their employees at all. Free pizza on first day. They lack any leadership skills necessary to actually develop a team. Sites are run by the "good ole boy system." Again, the lack of leadership from the Vice-Presidents to their subordinates is shockingly absent. Average insurance package and 401K. You could be struggling financially and be forced to work 50+ hour work weeks to make ends meet but its as draining mentally as well as physically and you will NOT get any recognition for it, you're lucky if you get a 50 cent raise in years of working there. Management will hold meetings with everyone where they can ask what would help the company grow and will avoid any questions regarding pay and employee retention. I've seen several employees leave because of these issues and they refuse to change. It's easier for them to hire someone new and have the guy who has been working there for a month train the "new" guy. When they do hire someone new (likely from an agency) they promise them higher pay when they're hired on... That is not the case. People who have been working there for a while usually get passed in pay as minimum wage rises, and since it's such a taboo to talk about pay some of the people who have been working there for 5+ plus years don't even know they're making less than a new hire. It's a shame to see these people do back breaking work for 10+ hours a day just for there higher ups to park in the facility with nicer accomodations and vehicles.
