Had a great team and manager just wanted to have more training to feel like I was always challenging myself. Client base was very diverse and so was haircuts but I felt like I was in a loop sometimes. I feel like the company can cater a bit more to us stylist happiness to make sure job security was there.

Poor work environment with poor management
|
They were always short staffed and refused to pay managers to go and recruit and wouldn’t recruit for stores. The pay was awful and they took lunch out no matter if you took it or not which you usually were told you couldn’t. They didn’t provide appropriate accommodations for people who needed it.

You will learn a lot here. If you're just out of school, pay attention to those who have had their license for a longer time. The turnover is high with clients, so you will have plenty of practice and learning. Flexible schedule is nice too when you have young kids.

Under paid. Under appreciated. Overworked, burnout happens fast.

Opening the store alone. Answering the phone, while checking in clients that come through the door and maintain the haircut your still doing in the chair. This happens the whole day until help arrives when you juggle all of it together. It's not easy.

I have been a employee for many many years. I am more stressed and seem to hate my job more then love it. They want want want, but they dont give nothing in return. Short staffed, under paid, over worked, nothing is ever right, they cant hire anyone and keep them. They blame it on in store things, but it all begins above those in salon. They don't listen to any concerns, they just want you to work more.
