Company culture is really inspiring at first, then the cracks begin to show. For the record, I was never skeptical and “All in”. The company is all smoke and mirrors. There have already been many blind-siding layoffs. They say they value people, but in reality they’re just another business who cares about the bottom line. The day to day is EASILY clocking you in at 10-12+ hours with early zoom meetings and tons of driving on the road. They tell you “love us or leave us”, and I was actually on board with that, but there comes a point where you feel like you’re selling your soul for this job. Good luck making time for friends, family or other hobbies. By the time you have a day off, you want to do nothing because you need to decompress from the toxic work nature and culture. Oh and you still have to come home and do reports, and review the next days route. On top of that, you need to be on point for the clients you’re in front of, which is actually my favorite part of the job and what I am the best at. However, it doesn’t make up for the long hours, gross gossip culture, favoritism, and lack of authenticity. Apply at your own risk. Company vehicle. Decent pay. No breaks on the road. Long days. When they hire you, they make you feel like you are a part of a team, but the reality is it’s everyone for themselves. They only care about making money for Gary, and focusing on sales rather then actual design. If you want to be a creative designer this isn’t the place for you. There are no incentives for their employees. You sell sell sell, all you get it a pat on the back, not even a free meal. That doesn’t pay the bills. This company can afford to give commission but they choose not too. They want you to put in so much time, with no reward at the end. If you want a promotion goodluck- that won’t happen. The turn over rate is horrible, there is a new face every month. Not sure how they even make it there, the hire time is really slow, months to be exact. Who can wait months to finally get hired or to be told they didn’t get hired. This place has the opportunity to be great but lack the “leaders” to lead that way. They don’t use words like managers- but that’s what they are they just manage they don’t lead anyone, only leading it out the door when everyone quits. Document EVERYTHING -Do not spend more than a year working here if you are serious about design. The leaders are difficult. In my time working there more than half of the employees left because of the terrible management. They talk up in the interview but the moment you get in, your job position is changed. The management is rude, demanding and not compassionate at all. They constantly make excuses for themselves but demand you do things their way. They talk about empowering you to do your job and work but do the exact opposite. There is favoritism, they try and stiff you on your paychecks, you have to be aware of everything or they will take advantage of you. Management is not on the same page, one leader will say one thing, then another will contradict that and say the opposite. Be careful and stand up for yourself. Management cannot take any criticism but dishes it out constantly.
