Hard to make a living, inconsistent hours
|
Ryan itself is a good company. The benefits are good. The pay looks good on paper, but they will cut your hours in a heartbeat! You must maintain an average of 32 hrs per week over a 6 month period to keep your benefits. But, during the off season they cut you below 32 hours. So, the good hourly wage they pay you isnt as good as it seems.

Not a bad college job
|
Worked here throughout college at the Grand Ole Opry in concessions and also some as a bar runner. There was a good amount of turnover with management in food and beverage, but overall I liked most of the managers that came through there. The job was simple and fast paced, and your shifts went by really fast. I liked all of my coworkers there, and there was a lot of turnover with employees as well. The reason I left was because you are only working 5 hour shifts with food and beverage and I needed something with more hours.

The Benefits package is good

Poor management. No communication. I worked back of the house. Dishwasher. No free food for kitchen staff.. Disorganized. 5. Dishwashers already quit. No urgency to hire more, leaving the dishwashers that are there. Over worked.

Good Place for Seasonal Employment

I loved the ability to see concerts every time I worked. However, there is little schedule flexibility and the shifts are hours on end standing in one place. Gets challenging night after night, especially when the pay isn't great.

Excellent part time work. Awesome culture and staff.

Worked at the Opry part time while I was in school in Nashville. I was thoroughly impressed with the attitude of all of my direct coworkers in the security department, and of all my other coworkers in other departments. Most everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming, and just overall seems to be happy to be there. Not to mention, as a fan of country music, I was certainly thrilled to be able to see some of my favorite artists and be paid to do so.

I Love meeting Tourists and making sure they visited is met to my expectation. And they enjoy coming to the Grand Ole Opry House and gift shop. Customer service is very important to me
