Red Hat is a great place to work, the company take cares of the employees, you have a lot of freedom to create and do your work. Progression is considerable slow here, takes a lot of time to move on to the next level

Lots of smart people. Pockets of interesting work. Lots of overhead jobs too though, probably too many. And there is a bit too much DEI, and non productive time consuming meetings.

While company leadership has a coherent vision, middle management gets overly fixated on the wrong things. "An SVP said [tech name] today. We need to think about what we can do with that". That's when they're not empire-building and thinking about what clout their projects can chase and not how their teams can work with others (and make both teams better).
