Management is terrible looks down upon the workers like the are are better than them. No training at all, Always behind the times and trying to catch up with ideas which have passed them by HR is always watching what you do.

Micromanagement, backstabbing and very childlike culture. Seemed to go down hill after 2020 when most of the folks who knew what they were doing left. More folks headed for the door (although the HR response will be they are healthier than ever)

Many employees and managers have been there a long time so they are very knowledgeable and care about training you. They were flexible with the hybrid schedule and it felt like an overall good work culture.
|
Long-term employees are overworked. They will definitely take as much of your time as you're willing to give. REIT's are tethered to the market, so if there's an economic downturn, it doesn't feel like there's much job safety.

This small REIT pretends to be a large investment bank. Buyer be aware… this is not an investment bank but,… you will be micromanaged and work investment banking hours 60-80 a week. This is not a joke Microsoft outlook sent me an email that stated I spent 70% of my day in meetings. Not an efficient use time. You will then scratch your head and wonder why on earth you still work at this “fake” investment bank? Do the opposite of Nike just don’t do it!

- Compensation, benefits, reimbursement programs. - Most of the team was a pleasure to work with. - Lots of learning opportunities. - Helpful HR and IT teams.

- Micromanagement throughout the day, and general lack of trust on the smallest decisions critical to the role. Management had me filling out an excel sheet with my day to day down to how every 10 minutes was spent. Not sure if this lack of trust was due to being a remote worker or a junior role or age. Frequent random calls to make sure you're at your desk, if you're remote. - Ageist jokes; if you're under 30 beware! Every cultural reference, no matter how ubiquitous, will be followed by "but (your name) probably wouldn't know this one!!!!" Assumptions were often made about experience level due to age as well. - Working remotely after peak pandemic was frowned upon by middle management, lots of not so gentle nudging to come to the office. - Culture is pretty boomer. You'll see many "optional" social events in your inbox, but you won't hear the end of it if you don't attend or don't respond to the e-vite. If remote, you'll get asked to join the "optional" social call by management. - Been hearing of frequent lay offs on linked in recently (2023) due to market looking bad.
