Everything that set the company apart in a positive way has completely evaporated. There is a very long line for the exit—nearly everyone who is still there is trying to get out. Many people are leaving without new jobs because they simply cannot handle the toxic, abusive culture any more. Management will keep smart, talented people stuck in the same roles for years, with very low (if any) annual increases as a cost control measure. I can attest that they can and do lie about your prospects at the company in an attempt to keep you around—dangling the hope of a promotion over your head, but just out of reach.
