Overall excellent, a few small gripes

- Good benefits

- VERY good culture
- Reliable management

- Opportunities to advance are determined by a bad system (OSAT). Occasionally, a client you speak with will be asked to review their experience. This is largely uncontrollable by the rep, as some people simply will never give a perfect score, and at Schwab, anything less than 7/7 is counted as a ZERO. The metrics used to judge your performance are less than perfect, and could easily be improved.
- Not much transparency from the top. Many amazing people I knew got fired due to Schwab's acquisition of TD Ameritrade, and the office I worked at was closed with only a couple months notice. Closed under the guise of "reevaluating [their] real estate footprint"

The company culture took a hit after TDA

Co-Workers. The people I worked with over my career were great and lifelong friends. I used to concider the company culture a pro, but now it is a CON....
|
You get the occational manager you dont like, but in the past few years since the TDA aquasition, alot of the "old leadership" was removed that had the "if it ain't broke, don't fix" /deny projects that cost anything kind of thinking. Which led to a major tech debt and stuck on XP until final days. But with new leadership came a change in company thinking. Including no more caring for employee's. No more employee appretiation week since around 2018, no more events, etc... Projects became all MUST GET DONE ASAP and with less employees and budget, but more responsability. Management became real tight lipped on progress and just kept pushing the ball down and to the point where no longer did managment stand up for their dept, to throwing someone under a bus if a date was not met outside of our control.
