What is the best part of working at the company? I have an excellent RCM and CSS to help with problems What is the most stressful part about working at the company? In my clinic it’s lack of leadership, we have so much work to do and not enough time to do it. The person they have as a leader is nothing but a micromanager who knows nothing of our job position. Pushing to get more people in and not worrying about good patient care. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Stressful most of the time. Some days are ok but again the clinical leader is a micromanager. This person knows nothing about the job I carry. The only thing good about this job is the nice patients. Welcome to Select where the rules are made up and the prizes don’t mean anything. They lure you in with pay and flat out lies about the company. The patients and your license are in constant danger. You will have absolutely no one in your corner from management when you alert them to concerns. I often wonder how they even came to be in their positions because they are so clueless and uninvolved yet a stones throw away. On day shift your work flow is constantly interrupted by meaningless mandatory meetings. They make it extremely difficult to even do an already difficult job. My coworkers are awesome, but they came like that. I have learned nothing at Select except what to be suspicious of and what not to tolerate in future jobs. It really is ridiculous and not worth the money they offer. nyse:sem https://www.indeed.com/cmp/select-medical/reviews Feb 29th, 2024 01:57PM Open Open Open Select Medical Manager Fort Myers, FL CNO is undereducated, Nurses are new graduates and have no experience. a typical day at Select begins in the parking lot with employees walking through the parking lot with their shoulders drooping and frowns on their faces. Next you walk into a break room with a huge executive table taking up the majority of the room. You must try to get through the nurses and other employees just to be able to get to the time clock which is located in the back of this overcrowded room. Assignment sheets for nurses are found in this room and even though acquity is counted it isn’t split evenly between the nurses. I have been told that the respiratory therapists are given assignments in which acquity is not even counted! They are a vital part of taking care of most all of the patients here and are treated with absolutely no respect from anyone in the facility? They are given assignments only on airway count. It doesn’t matter that the may have ventilators, bipap machines, home equipment, breathing treatments, airway management etc. There is sometimes only one respiratory therapist for the 60 bed hospital. At any given moment there could be an emergency involving a code blue or airway occlusion and only one RT to care for the entire facility! Very unsafe for the patients and very unfair to the therapist. The facility is filthy! Floors are dirty, walls are dirty, equipment is subpar. Air vents are covered in soiled dust that has been accumulating for months, if not years. These things are brought to the attention of management on a regular basis but nothing is ever done. There are employees who help keep the morale high . There are employees who will help other employees even if they themselves are behind on their own work because they believe in teamwork. You have a job CNO, Corporate greed, getting cancelled for shifts. It is literally a joke. You're a rented floor in a hospital. The host hospital hates you. You run out of supplies constantly. You can't get lab to see your patient if you're unable to get blood from them. You will work short all the time. You will have no support from management. Management is poor. Not sure what they are managing? They make up the rules as they go along and they have their own agenda. Most of the floor staff is actually pretty awesome but turn around is high because management is so terrible. People come to work at select for the money. The pay is good but eventually the money just isn't worth it. If the employees were appreciated and felt like they had had support and the back up when they need it people would stay. It is just a stepping stone to something better. What is the best part of working at the company? The relationships I built with the medical staff What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Lack of teamwork when working with other departments trying to achieve a common goal. The politics of individuals being promoted into positions not based on merit. Not understanding another departments job, and not being compensated fairly for all of the extra responsibilites added to position. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
