Advises Senior Management and Bank personnel of emerging compliance issues and consults and guides the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.  Assists the CRA & Regulatory Compliance Officer in ensuring department activities run smoothly and efficiently.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGeneralAssist in the management of self-assessment monitoring to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state, federal, and HUD/FHA.Perform periodic compliance risk assessments.Evaluate internal processes and collaborates with process owners to develop and implement procedures and controls that align with organizational efficiency and risk mitigation objectives.Research and interpret existing and emerging regulations and make appropriate recommendations to policy, procedure, forms, etc.Develop and maintain positive relationships within related business units to ensure partnership approach to compliance risk management.Partner with the business units and second lines in order to help the business units understand new regulations and enforcement actions.Identify and professionally escalate matters requiring Compliance management attention.Assist in the development of policies, procedures and training, as needed, to comply with state and federal regulations.Develop, maintain, and complete forms and compliance checklists for transactional compliance audits.Assemble necessary information, work papers, and documents for internal audits.Ensures that records are in order and comply with regulatory and internal record retention requirements.Keep abreast of industry changes in an effort to assist Compliance management.Assist in the administration of the Bank’s vendor management program by reviewing due diligence and contracts to ensure acceptable compliance risk.  Assist in the administration of compliance training program and materials, ensuring that all employees receive adequate training and maintaining a record of all completed training.Maintain current knowledge of all Federal and State Laws and Regulations, along with all Bank’s policies and procedures.Not to harm consumers with any act that could be misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive in act or practice.Must adhere to the company’s core values of Challenge Convention, Do What’s Right, Take Ownership, Empower People, Exceed Expectations, and Cultivate Awesome all while keeping our “Why?” front of mind.
