Myrtle Beach has no full time jobs though so this is as good as it gets. You can get health, dental, vision benefits through Startek. Comes directly out of your paycheck. Not the best but better than buying directly. You get an hour unpaid lunch, two paid 15 min breaks, and like 2 hours pto every two weeks. It's guaranteed 40 hours a week work. That's about it and sadly that's all you need to be better than 80% of the jobs around here. You get paid training. Actual work is nothing like training though. It can be stressful until you eventually learn to stop caring. It's back to back calls/chats every day. Be open to your schedule changing to an inconvenient time. They do shift bids based on customer surveys and you know customers blame you for things out of your control. It's pretty hard to get fired from here unless you just don't show up to work. Cincinnati Bell is what everyone wants but it’s stressful, long hours, and management is terrible. The equipment provided to work at home is trash and you have to use it. The work systems go down multiple times a day and you’re not paid for this down time. It also effects your attendance so you’re forced to work unreasonable overtime (4 hours for every 1 hour missed) or face disciplinary action. Half the CBT managers don’t know anything and couldn’t even do the tech support job themselves. The environment in Tier 2 tech support is very clique and a nightmare. Tier 1 is told sales aren’t important but you get reprimanded if you don’t make enough sales and push the end of call survey. Overall, nightmare. Don’t let anyone talk you into working here.
