Great people to work with, constantly something new everyday to report on. A helpful and supportive environment, able to provide feedback to team leader and make changes to everyday tasks. Always felt heard and communication with other newsroom personnel was great.

Odd working hours, either working late at night, extremely early in the morning, or weekend shifts.
News director is not very communicative and doesn't have a good connection with the rest of the newsroom staff, picky with who they talk to.
Lots of changes being made to the current newsroom team and tons of changes happening to current staff.

It's not overly competitive or toxic. Most folks on the national networks side have been friendly and helpful.
There is some transparency via town halls so we know when reorg's are coming.
I've personally grown a lot at this company, both in skill and in compensation.
The paid time off allotment is decent. Not incredible, but a little more than I've seen other companies offer.

Lots of reorganization in the last year. My department went through two rounds, and several roles of long-time employees in leadership positions were eliminated during both.
It seems like the company as a whole is grasping for a new identity, but I'm not sure if they know what they're looking for.
It has been hard to achieve meaningful career growth once reaching the mid-level. A lot of folks tend to stay there because the only option is usually to join the fleet of people managers that appears to be catching up to the number of individual contributors.
Management always seems to be meeting with each other rather than with their direct reports and as a result, management does not always feel like they are in the loop.
Insurance has become a scam, but the health insurance plan is not great. The lowest deductible option is still on the high side.
