No innovation, not sales focussed, lot aof stand alone projects, way too many staff not supporting our core activity: sales! No personal protection clithing for the cathlab, no dosimeters or any policy regarding radiation protection!!

The internal communication is absolutely bad, although it is easy to reach everyone in senior level, it is not an attitude problem. But management is absolutely not sales ( thus customer) focussed. Backorders are an ongoing problem and most customers leave not because of the backorders itself, but because the incredible lack of control of production, supply and communication of availability. Hospitals need to plan ahead! The energy it takes to re-win a customer is not seen by management. Think microcatheters, vesselclips, central lines, kits, hemostasis, sampling, vascular access products. Also success it not shared EMEA/USA/APAC wide and there is no central marketing/ competitive intelligence. All market intelligence comes from field- sales. BU’s see the same customers but there is no structure to combine forces. Marketing ( promotion) is litte and slow and set back by regulatory affairs. Documentation is an issue and blocks sales, no one is responsible and there is lot of misunderstanding between legal/ regulatory and sales. HR is distant and often from abroad. TFX could double their salesforce in some states and countries to grow faster. You can not manage 80 hospitals! Teleflex is also very USA focussed and supplies are first shipped to the USA and after that to the “rest of the world”. The IPN structure ( a number that allocates a product to a certain country) is so rigid, that some BU’s base their meetings in a country that has the right IPN for their training- samples.
