SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient functioning of production quality, processes and equipment with ability to Lead other Engineers within the group. Responsibilities include Safety, ensuring Quality, troubleshooting, analyzing problems and data, maintaining interplant communications, training operators and establishing/improving production procedures. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Extrusion Operators are skilled in the production of plastic film in order to achieve maximum output of high quality products for use in packaging and electronics applications. Responsibilities include operating extrusion equipment, packaging, roll handling, forklift operation, housekeeping and process/quality checks.

A high degree of alertness in order to identify safety process and quality problems in assigned production area.

Job Summary
The SEC Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for all aspects of the preparation and filing of financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The position will also oversee all technical accounting matters and lead efforts to research and manage the implementation of new and proposed accounting standards, and assist with the development, implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls and corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e., 10-Q, 10-K, etc.) as well as financial statements and tables to be used in quarterly earnings releases and corresponding investor materials/presentations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC rules.
Coordinating the accurate preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements balance sheet, income statements, cash flows and supporting materials,
Ensuring compliance with all SEC and FASB rules and regulations.
Drafting and managing the review of MD&A in quarterly and annual SEC filings and corresponding summary of operating results in earnings releases.
Managing the preparation and review of all other quarterly and annual SEC disclosures and supporting schedules.
Reviewing any additional materials and/or materials provided to investors.
Lead efforts to analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB; prepare memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company, manage the implementation of new accounting standards through the coordination of internal resources and external advisors; and debrief senior management and external auditors, as requested.
Maintain external financial reporting system and assist with the maintenance of other accounting-related systems, and coordinate with the development, design and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements throughout Tredegar with a focus on internal controls, process efficiency and compliance with applicable GAAP and SEC reporting and technical accounting requirements.
Provide consultation on technical accounting matters to the operating divisions, ensuring that all technical issues are addressed, resolved and properly documented in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
Work with internal partners on initiatives to improve the organization including (but not limited to) new processes, procedures, system enhancements or acquisitions.
Maintain knowledge of global business operations in order to understand impact of business events on financial performance and external reporting requirements.
Coordinate financial reporting component of the external audit with a focus on maximizing efficiency without compromising integrity of audit results.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA, active license status required.
Accounting/ financial reporting experience required; including extensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting in multi-entity/multi-country environment..
Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
SOX and internal controls experience.
Strong analytical, organization, planning and problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience with Excel, Word and accounting software required.

This position works cooperatively within a team to deliver accurate and timely financial information and business insights to the management teams of business units within PE Films, department financial reporting for Corporate, and prepares the PE Films division consolidation and Tredegar Corporate consolidation while providing support to the internal and external financial reporting processes. The Senior Accountant acts as the subject matter expert in matters related to general ledger account setup and structure, establishing automatic accounting instructions (AAI’s), and maintaining cost allocations within the ERP. Preparation and review of account reconciliations and analysis needed to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information is a critical and substantial portion of the responsibilities in this role including identification of routine and non-standard reclassifications. The position is also responsible for providing technical direction, guidance and mentorship to the Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable, including supporting remediation of issues in the payables and procurement processes. As a senior member of the Accounting and Consolidations Group, The Senior Accountant is expected to exhibit professionalism, competence and teamwork in all of its interactions both within the team and with external parties.DUTIESSetup and validation of new general ledger accounts, cost centers and automatic accounting instructions (AAI’s). Maintain index computations and confirm allocations made in ERP system are appropriate and consistent with plan.Prepare complex or significant account reconciliations, review routine reconciliations prepared by other staff or site personnel and conduct account analysis needed to ensure accurate and complete financial statements.Prepare analysis and supporting documentation for recurring entries and confirm that recurring entries are recorded into the appropriate period for the correct amount.Perform assigned accounting processes on time and without reminder including the processing journal entries, analysis of assigned accounts and recording adjusting entries as required to reconcile recorded balances.Coordination of various accounting activities and processes with domestic and international accounting team members.Completion of account analysis and support for business unit finance team members and other team members, including support for planning and forecasting activities.Load the Financial Close and Consolidation System (FCCS)/Hyperion with data from JD Edwards including reconciliation of FCCS/Hyperion data to JD Edwards data.Prepare and enter consolidating, eliminating and topside adjustments to FCCS/Hyperion, including preparation of supporting documentation. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages manufacturing operations activities: including production, scheduling, materials management, inventory, logistics and purchasing functions. Assists with creating a continuous improvement environment and a high level of employee involvement that is conducive to achieving business plan objectives. Ensures employees participate in scheduled safety training, and promotes a culture where employees are accountable for working safely, for maintaining safe work conditions, and for correcting unsafe work practices. Builds trust through continuous, open, honest and accurate communications with employees. Performs all duties with integrity to promote overall operations plant effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES:
Manages employee development for all exempt and non-exempt employees in manufacturing and logistics. This includes, training plans, developmental assignments, succession plans and other activities that encourage the professional growth, continual improvement, efficiency and innovation by employees.
Promotes teamwork throughout the plant and addresses issues that impact teamwork between areas/groups in the plant.
Communicates with employees routinely to build trust and share information to engage employees.
Oversees Routine daily meetings to help align employees on efficient and safe operation and serves as decision-maker for customer and efficiency issues.
Treats people with integrity and respect, and develops an environment of empowerment and commitment.
Assures that employees are trained and knowledgeable in all safe operating procedures.
Manages schedule for process engineer trials. Investigates and analyzes production problems and bottlenecks concerning throughput and quality.
Collaborating with maintenance for capital improvement projects and procedures to continually improve our processes, material utilization and efficiency and reduce downtime throughout the plant.
Works with Customer Service and manufacturing personnel to ensure daily production schedules maximize profitability and meet customer needs as first priority.
Analyzes production and processes data as needed to track improvement progress.
collaborates with Engineering/Maintenance daily regarding repairs and preventive maintenance to equipment and provides priority.
Manages logistics of resin, finished goods and commodities inventories in order to maintain efficient operation and at the same time reducing working capital and ensure optimum use of available plant warehouse space.
Assures the availability of current training manuals, standard operating procedures, directives, etc. for efficient and safe operation
Conducts Production Meetings and other manufacturing meetings as necessary and participates on Plant Leadership Team and other applicable meetings.
Utilizes visual management tools to communicate objectives and status of operation.
Fosters an environment of continuous improvement utilizing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and 5S concepts.
Oversees and coordinates wage staffing assignments and overtime procedures
Establish and maintain manufacturing-to-manufacturing contacts with key customer.
Creates an environment that is viewed by our customers as “Easy To Do Business With”.
Balances Customer needs against plant efficiency when making decisions with customer needs as the top priority.
