No one on one employee appreciation
|
At first an enjoyable low pressure job, then came the unnessary pressure causing health issues. Used all my PTO/sick days to try and fix problem needed doctor requested down time and it was refused. Left job and issues went away. It wasn’t a hard job but a stressful one, for no reasons but the unnessary stress from others which many complained about but nothing was done.
|
Once you clear the hurdles benefits were good. Pay was fair
|
Kept piling on more and more mundane responsibility, wouldn’t take employee sugestions seriously.

The work I did on this job was very fun and kept me very satisfied
|
I loved the hours and paid holidays and weekends off. I loved learning everything I’ve learned. Everyday it was always something new to do which helped me out a lot with experience. The only thing was when there’s no work you might get laid off.

Company changed for the worst when new CEO was appointed. Corporate management did not give adequate support. Upper and middle management gave little help in managing workers. Pay was below industry standards.

|
The work is great, people are good to work with, the management is out of touch with the employees.

Alot of work but only in spurts

The company was ok at first i was working 50 hours a week then it went to 40 and then all of a sudden i would work 2 weeks and then the next 2 weeks i would work only about a day or 2 and very inconsistent.

overtime was good

healthcare was little to none, no 401k or any other benefits, and sometimes the hours were close to none a week

The culture is awful, nepotism is rampant and HR controls everything. The salaries are not close to industry standards and the organization chart is top heavy. You’ve been warned.

Thermon makes profit on hardware. Software is the forgotten stepchild, a cost, not a benefit. The fact that their software is in extreme need of re-engineering, that maintenance costs exceed the cost of re-implementing, falls on deaf ears. On the other hand, they would rather build than buy, even when mature COTS products are readily available.

Utilized the Axapta enterprise resource planning software in daily tasks such as inputting information regarding inventory control, shipping and receiving of warehouse merchandise. Oversaw the processing of material by subordinate employees. Ensured all outgoing shipments were accurate, invoiced to the correct project work order and any unused material was received back into inventory. Processed all pending picking lists. Ensure the warehouse items are clean, mission capable and salable to the customer. Communicated with several vendors to restock depleted inventory. Correspond with field technicians concerning project needs providing part availability and ETA's of inbound shipments from outside vendors. Aided the Construction Manager with day to day operations such as processing invoices, interfacing with potential customers, screening applicants etc.

Improving management but worsening benefits makes for a flat company
|
Typical product engineering schedule where 3-month slow-downs are met with abrupt emergency fixes. Recent management has been improving, but there are some legacy managers that haven't changed in 30 years. Advancements are near impossible and benefits have worsened during the years I've been here. Workplace culture is okay, but not the most diverse in neither gender nor nationality. The most enjoyable part of my experience here is the significant amount of responsibility and experience I was given and gained in a relatively short amount of time. Don't expect to have any sort of movement within the company until you've been here close to 20 years, if that.
