-False promising of promotions. Among 30 BA's over few years only 2 got senior titles.
-lack of Career path
-Fortune 500 so trying to make any sort of "change" that steps on Corporate's toe's for the goal of efficiency will be shot down.

The Business Analyst Role needs to change. H.R. and Business leaders who oversee the B.A. role @ Corporate already know what the issues are but are too delusional to make changes. This company then decided to hire an outside consultant to make the "Career ladder" so if it doesn't work out no one internally can take the blame. Everyone @ Toll is scared to take on responsibilities w/ the risk of failure. If you do decide to take on the work, You are only congratulated with "Atta Boy's" w/o any benefit beyond that. It is "The Toll Way" when described about avoiding taking on work. I have 0 faith in upper MGMT. Boots on the ground employee's and some leadership at the division level have a good head on there shoulders. It just really depends on the department. Again it is a Huge company so be ready to fight in the trench's for every bit of scrap you can get w/ False promises of a promotion. They try to keep you hooked just enough where your motivated but never actually follow through with there promises. Note this is only for the B.A. role.

Spent 2 years in Charleston as part of an influx of tenured Toll employees sent to the region after an acquisition of a local builder (Sabal Homes). This is where things have turned south in a hurry. 90% of the leadership team aside from myself and a few others are former Sabal Homes employees. They work hard to stave off change and take a hardline towards the “this is my home you’re not welcome here” mindset. Lots of infighting, gossip, all the bad things you leave a workplace for. Reported a VP for harassment of another employee - nothing happened. Run people!

Great talk about diversity, no bullying, 1-800 number to call to report people, they talk a good game and make you sit through hours of video training to show you how wonderful they are.

Unfortunately, none of it’s true! My direct report boss was so toxic I had to leave. She would gossip and talk about firing members of our team all the time, made fun of our clients from India saying they smelt bad, if you were not in her clique she would make sure others would not speak to you at events. It was horrible! Her boss knew she was like this and did nothing!

Management takes no responsibility and is purely reactionary. All problems will be passed down the chain as far as possible. All concerns will never go "Up" to anyone who cares. So many layers of bureaucracy that it's impossible to make things better. I experienced so much retaliation for merely pointing these things out. If an issue was raised, the standard was response was, "Maybe, you're the real problem."
