Remote work. Set your own schedule. Not chained to a desk or office, Travel is on your own vehicle but it's to high schools and students' homes in your defined territory.

Metrics, metr.ics, metrics. You will be watched. Not enough enrollments? Get more leads. Not enough leads? Go to more schools (life isn't like a spreadsheet). My old boss had 10+ years experience doing what I do everyday. He was fired. My new boss knows how to read a spreadsheet and little else. Can't sell anything to anyone. Doesn't know this industry (auto, diesel, welding, etc) and isn't equipped to help.
Senior reps, VPs and Regional Managers have left in droves in the last 6-12 months. WyoTech, Lincoln Tech, Ohio Tech, University of Northwestern Ohio are all MUCH superior and you're led by those who used to do this work, not desk managers who can only read a spreadsheet but not make sense of it.

Get rid of the Pearson sales staff and get in the fields, in the classrooms and in the homes of those you serve. It's not about selling everything to anyone. Pay attention to what the field reps are reporting.
(then again, management didn't listen when I reported to them, they aren't going to read this)

TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT, MICRO MANAGEMENT. There is a giant disconnect between the home office and the campuses. They have no idea how the campuses operate or what the atmosphere is like at all. It's no surprise since the upper level management rarely visit any of the campuses. The company tends to overwork their employees and ask them to do the job of two people or take on the responsibilities of another position without compensating for pay. No support from management whatsoever. It truly has transformed into a "money first" company.
