What is the best part of working at the company? Free Benefits and no drug testing What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No consistency in scheduling and they treat everyone like a number. While they are a corporate that says they are a family, they are more like a mafia and training does not exist in the New York office. Leadership loves to lie and use everyone as a pawn to their advantage, then are quick to release you when you don’t sell. Plus they also don’t support your growth and when you request to change positions to an environment that would suit you better they, lie and release you before they are willing to support your needs. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Horrible and toxic, do not advise anyone to take the opportunity, if they want to work in a job that has development, this is not the place. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Work for 4 hours then they send you home for some excuse for not having enough clients or something else other than the opportunity to do your job. My knowledge in IT increased by 80% I went into the Technology industry only knowing to reboot if I had a computer issue. I know feel I can assist as a Help Desk agent. I was privileged to work with a great management team throughout my career. The hardest part of the job was personal because I want to grasp things quickly and in order to do so it takes time. Learning the go-to was the hardest but it was accomplished. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people. Bingo, trivia, smores, crafts, margarita making... super fun stuff. You must be very comfortable being in front of a crowd - I am on a mic in front of 100+ people daily. Unfortunately the schedule changes every day and every week. You never get two days off in a row. You work different days and different hours every week, sometimes getting off at 9pm and going in at 8am the next day. There is no way to develop a routine in your life and no predictability. Managers will not allow overtime, yet expect employees to stay 1+ hours after they're off. No guaranteed lunch break. Very difficult to get time off. The location had its opening delayed several months. Although management tried to be accommodating and did their best to scrounge for hours to give us, it felt more like they were looking for couch cushion cash, and I allowed myself to be strung along far longer than I should have and felt I had to leave prematurely. Couldn't reach my manager after leaving for a reference - got no response at all. And there are some good reasons, but also caveats. The company can be divided into two groups of employees: corporate level and property level. Unlike other hotel companies, where corporate is there to support the property, this one is entirely controlled at the corporate level, with a heavy hand. Decision making at the property level is very limited. Decisions made at the corporate level are not well communicated and folks working at the property level are constantly in fear of nasty emails and other repercussions from corporate for not following vague and murky rules. Folks working at the corporate level seem to be able to act as badly as they want, with no accountability. If you work at the property level, you will be a second class citizen in the company. Be prepared to feel like a corporate puppet, endure endless nasty emails from corporate, and inability to get clarification on anything. If you are an intelligent person who enjoys making thoughful decisions and want to be recognized for your merits, go work elsewhere. What is the best part of working at the company? Working remote was the best part. They have average heath benefits and other employee benefits that can help elevate your career. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They lay off and eliminate positions. Company doesn’t seem to be doing well. Resorts are not staffed properly. Lack of training and poor management. Leaders lack true understanding about what is going on. They only care about making a profit for their shareholders. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Transactional, they lack empathy and understanding.
