- The new Stryker leadership failed to embrace the Silicon Valley work culture.
- Leadership expects people to take on more responsibility without increase in pay.
- KPI and quotas are set with unrealistic expectation by newly hired people thousands of miles away who have never spoken with the frontline employees.
- Leadership sees everybody as disposal ready to be replaced by Indian outsourcing.

People are great. Product was easy to get to use and learn about. Product people knew their stuff and it was an open structure where we'd meet, get to know each other and learn. Fun times. Some strategic leaders were true mentors. Kindness pervaded this company, there was a seat at the table for everyone. I am lucky I saw the good side, before it became huge and political.

Bought by Stryker. Vocera lost its soul, sold its soul. New management promising no change, but there was change. No spending allowed, no travel, much unhappiness and insecurity with bosses throwing their departments away to save their own job, insecure. Many people and much talent has left, the CEO, Sales VP worldwide and team took their shares and left the majority of us on a life raft in the middle of the storm to sink, swim, jump or be pushed.
