Pay rate compared to performance expectations, upper management (field training managers, district managers, etc.) only care about selling “private brand” products and pushing sales, strict enforcement of payroll hours, for instance, if employees are close to exceeding their weekly scheduled hours management will make employees take additional or longer breaks to avoid paying any overtime.

Actually learn about the industry you work in. Health and wellness shouldn’t be approached with a “profits above everything” mentality. Maybe show respect and gratitude towards employees who are educated in the field and there wouldn’t be such high turn over.

If you are salary, you’ll find yourself working more than 45 hours to keep up with the demands. I experienced a hostile work environment and HR turned it around on me. Could care less about my safety and staff that said racist and antisemític comments and cussed at me. One of the staff had a disability and I believe they were trying to CYA instead of supporting a long term manager in a stressful time. I was unable to truly manage my team because they would immediately make up lies to report me to hr and my dsm so I was left doing it all and walking on eggshells.
