management comes and goes faster than loyal employees,
diverse group of culture.
hardest part of the job is knowing you'll never get a promotion out of the shop.

Si eres recién egresado, o buscas adquirir experiencia en el sector petrolero, ser ingeniero de campo trainee en Weatherford no es la opción. Cuando menos en la línea de PPS Fracturas, no ofrecen ningún tipo de “entrenamiento” como tanto promocionan durante la etapa de reclutamiento y selección. El seguimiento por parte de RH durante tu incorporación a la empresa es pésimo, casi nulo. Los ingenieros senior que deberían orientarte prefieren darte un trato deshumanizante en lugar de hacer su labor. Hablando de la base en la zona norte del país (seguro entenderás cuál), existe un ambiente laboral deplorable, donde no escucharás más que comentarios sexistas, y demás temas inadecuados para un entorno laboral. Aprendes lo que puedes y nunca de parte de los ingenieros, sino de los operadores de las unidades.
¿El sueldo es bueno?
No está mal, sobre todo por los bonos de campo que ayudan bastante.
¿Ambiente laboral?
Pésimo
¿Desarrollo de carrera?
Nulo
¿Horario laboral?
Hora de entrada si, de salida nunca. Es más, si te atreves a irte más “temprano” de lo que la mayoría cree políticamente correcto te lo harán saber, de la manera más venenosa posible.
¿Entrenamiento para ser el ingeniero de campo a cargo?
Si consideras que el dar una presentación sobre lo que has “aprendido” cada mes es un entrenamiento, entonces si que lo hay. Cursos en línea los hay. Pero no esperes ni una pequeña introducción sobre nada de nadie. Todo lo irás descubriendo tú solo, tú solo te entrenas. Si esto te parece bien, adelante. Si buscas verdaderas capacitaciones y llegar a ser un experto en mucho menos tiempo de lo que te llevaría en Weatherford, existen otras empresas. (SLB)

Para gente con experiencia. Si recién egresas o buscas experiencia en el sector, estás advertido.
