A majority of the company has changed for the better, much better work life balance than years past, and coworkers are very team oriented, with the exception of operations leadership.

PAY! Operations leadership uses solely false titles that short sell the actual role and number of direct reports to determine salary, does not account for location of physical plant or cost of living. Constantly short sells employees skills and experience, the first place to save money is with employee salaries. Do more with less and when you hit and exceed targets only 1-3% annual raise in a very affluent area where inflation is 8-10% and cost of living is 20-30% higher than other locations. If you bring up pay in anyway you are shuttered away and yelled at for even approaching the topic.

Don't short sell the actual responsibilities of positions or employees, and review competetive salaries more than every 4-5 years. Also focus efforts on retaining current quality employees rather than new hires. When an employee starting today is making nearly the same as someone with 5+ years tenure the focus is in the wrong place.
