Carey needs to change its c-suite to a modern, driven team. Employees are noticing little things: 1) all three investment team members (company’s pride and joy) who came out as diverse resigned suddenly/were forced out after joining the DEI committee, the head of asset management and head of investments made jokes at the anniversary party about how they should be part of a disability group because they had “restless leg syndrome” and the ceo just laughed along, all women end up getting less opportunities to take on projects and grow. It’s a massive issue here, but it can’t change until management does. I’d also recommend setting some goals and motivating employees as the recent stock split tanked the company and everyone is afraid of their jobs.
