It's a job, and pays more than minimum wage.

The pay is low by industry standard, no raises - they will literally laugh at you for asking.
Almost impossible to get hired on permanently, and few benefits to doing so.
Cheap, won't spend money on equipment, manpower or maintenance unless it's to (barely) pass inspection.

The company is making good changes with new IT and HR. Pay has gone up to market and bonus last year were really good. People get along well and there is no more gossip and in-fighting. The people that were dragging us down are gone and the CEO spends more time on strategy and less time involved in staff business. People work and go home and have a life.

Still slow to get approvals, have to ask for permission to make progress. Operations leadership needs deeper bench.

There are no pros to working here, it's a hostile work environment. The CEO. had over 50 secretaries over my time there since he is such a toxic waste of humanity. He keeps the company private so he cannot be sued, which he should be by countless individuals.
