nyse:xhr xeniareit.com workforcenow.adp.com Apr 7th, 2021 12:00AM Manager - Financial Reporting Open Full Time XHR MANAGEMENT LLC, ORLANDO, FL, US ORLANDO FL USA Mar 10th, 2021 12:00AM <div><div><p><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>Responsible for preparing financial and SEC reporting for the company (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and proxies) of the company. &nbsp;The position will also prepare and review accounting and financial reporting work papers and reconciliations, assist in technical accounting research, and the implementation of new and proposed accounting standards and other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong><u>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adhere to company&rsquo;s policies and procedures, and comply with applicable laws, government rules, and regulations.</li><li>Preparation, accurate reporting and filing of SEC periodic reports such as Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and other SEC filings such as registration statements, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with all SEC, FASB, NYSE rules and regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and manage filing calendar related to external reporting.</li><li>Assist with the financial reporting component of the external audit, preparation of comfort letters, etc.</li><li>Prepare quarterly financial statements, analytical analyses, and other work papers supporting company filings.</li><li>Support and assist with the external and internal audit functions.</li><li>Analyze and research new and proposed accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB and prepare technical accounting memorandums regarding the Company&rsquo;s position and impact on the Company. &nbsp;Provide accounting-related transaction support for acquisitions and dispositions.</li><li>Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and key metrics and analytics for internal review.</li><li>Assist in the review of month-end accounting work papers and reconciliations prepared by senior accountants.</li><li>Assist in the company&rsquo;s SOX compliance process including corporate and/or hotel control evaluation and testing.</li><li>Prepaid ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with other leaders in the accounting/tax department, finance department, internal and external legal counsel and internal/external independent auditors.</li><li>Other duties as assigned. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>This position will have some responsibility for helping to review work prepared by senior accountants.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>This position requires a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Experience</strong>:</p><ul><li>This position requires five or more years of prior professional experience in accounting &amp; reporting or external audit at a Big 4 accounting firm. &nbsp; Strong and extensive knowledge of SEC reporting and GAAP are required.</li><li>Experience with SOX internal controls.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Certifications/Licenses:</strong></p><ul><li>CPA license required</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required for this position.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of competing projects is essential.&nbsp;</li><li>Real Estate/REIT or hotel accounting experience preferred.</li><li>Keyboarding skills are required for this position.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Occasional (less than 10% of the time) overnight travel is required for this position.</li><li>This position requires 24-hour accessibility (cell phone and email).</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul><li>This position requires the ability to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less to read documents and/or view computer screen.</li><li>This position requires the ability to hear and talk and to communicate in person and via phone on a daily basis.</li><li>This position requires the ability to use hands/fingers to enter, retrieve and/or manipulate data using a computer keyboard.</li></ul></div></div> Apr 7th, 2021 11:16AM Apr 7th, 2021 11:16AM Xenia Hotels & Resorts Financials General Financial
