This company is stuck in the 90s, not cutting edge seems to be disorganized and stuck in the past from the top down. People were nice enough but their marketing is non existent and the call lists they give you are pretty bad, they stick you on a dialer of cold leads and basically wish you luck. You are not set up for success here because Crexendo is not posturing themselves for success.

When you work for a company for close to 5 years and most of the employees have been with the company for over 10 years that speaks volumes!! The National Sales Director, Inside sales manager, and all the top executive's rock!

I had this job for three weeks, and even that was too long.

I got to chose between working at 7:00 am or 8:00.
|
During my brief stint at Crexendo, I quickly realized that even three weeks felt like an extended period to be there. By the second day, it was clear that accepting the job offer had been a regrettable decision. The compensation, a $42,000 salary, was reasonable for this type of sales role, assuming commission earnings were promising. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant challenge: a complete lack of training on the job and the products I was tasked with selling. Armed with only a phone, a desk, and a script, I was expected to generate sales without the necessary knowledge to address basic customer inquiries. The sales manager's approach to coaching was characterized by repetitive scripts, delivered in a circular manner that resembled talking at you rather than with you. This approach aimed to ingrain the script into employees like robotic programming. The manager's conduct often included uncomfortable behaviors like burping in close proximity while talking to you and engaging in inappropriate actions during meetings, such as taking his socks and shoes off to scratch his feet. The office environment was isolating, with minimal interaction among colleagues. A distinct absence of workplace culture was palpable. My decision to leave was confirmed when I packed my desk and left my badge behind during my boss's meeting. There was no subsequent contact from Crexendo after my departure.

The UCaaS and CCaaS platforms stack up well against the competition. Crexendo typically has lower pricing than the competition out of the box and will sharpen pencils as needed to win opportunities. The product is easy to learn - sales reps coming from other industries have quickly become successful. Coworkers are responsive and helpful, and management is approachable all the way to the executives. As a smaller company, you have the opportunity to learn more and be involved in more functions. Commission plans are set up for success, and benefits are similar to other companies I have worked for

Similar to any sales job, last month doesn't matter. It's always go-go-go. In the beginning this can be challenging as you are trying to learn and build a partner base at the same time. Although commission plans are attainable, there is a ramp up period as you pursue new partners. Management has high expectations, but are fair Benefits don't start for 3 months after hire, and there is a vesting period as you begin your 401K. Vacation policy is old school - starts at 2 weeks. This can be a challenge for someone with a long tenure at their previous role

I met some really neat and helpful coworkers
|
They will hire you to work remotely, yet treat the office staff better and give them current accounts to upgrade while you get nothing. The larger prospects in my city were all held by overfed Phoenix sales staff. I had zero experience with Telecom/VoIP, but they only gave a 3 day training which was mostly focused on their pricing spreadsheet, nothing about Telecom or how to actually sell it. Weak mentoring/support. Was left to fend for myself. We went through 3 Sales Managers in a year period, including one who appeared to be on drugs. The phone system is not reliable, yet the new Chief whatever officer that took over the sales team was trying to force us to write good reviews. The job got me through the pandemic, but was not worth staying at once things opened up and I could go back home to the Copier industry.

Some really great colleagues. Product is amongst the best on the market.

Massive turnover in the Channel, especially in Phoenix. Empty promises during interview process specifically with territory and work outside of office. Micromanaged to DEATH. Channel Director wants to be cc’d on every email, invited on every call and invited to every appointment. Will call you 5 minutes after a partner meeting to make sure you’re coming straight back to office. Two mandatory team meetings per week where she berates team and threatens jobs, then drones on about how she is the greatest salesperson on earth. It’s incredibly bizarre. Do not work in the Channel at Crexendo, especially in the Phoenix office.

Company is pretty distant with it's employees. Child Company of Allegiant is facing serious biased management/executives who all are family members of each other. If you say something that rubs one of them the wrong way, you're fired. Management/executives have little to no experience in technology nor in their products they sell to customers. Products they do sell are very buggy and has nothing but issues with no intent of fixing them. Slowly declining. Avoid if you want a team who cares for your livelihood because only thing this team cares about is money and corporate greed. Many techs/engineers doesn't like their management/executives at all.
