Predatory --takes advantage of the most vulnerable communities as they often have high aspirations but little financial support/knowledge.
Exhausting/churning --the job is to move people through a system like cattle rather than fostering a genuine interest in learning and higher ed. You have recruitment goals every month, which end up becoming prioritized over what is actually in the best interest for prospective students.

Enjoy what I do but many things need to change.
|
Create an environment people want to work in. Hold other departments accountable because the culture is finding ways to not do their jobs. Start new programs, the ones at South are becoming oversaturated with other schools joining the area. Until there is good change the University will be stagnant.
